Same-Day Voter Registration (H 7474, S 2779)

We supported this proposed constitutional amendment which would remove the state Constitution’s onerous requirement that bars individuals from voting in an election, except for President, unless they have registered to vote at least 30 days in advance.

Workplace Psychological Safety Act (H 8044, S 2473)

While ensuring a healthy workplace is a laudable goal, we opposed a piece of far-reaching and subjective legislation which would impose liability on employers or co-workers who, among other actions, "confuse" a person emotionally.

Decriminalization of Controlled Substances (H 7315)

Repealing Mandatory HIV Testing for Sex Workers (H 7219, S 2442)

Protections for Healthcare Providers (H 7577, S 2262)

We strongly supported this legislation which would ensure protections for patients and providers of reproductive and gender-affirming health care services against the imposition of criminal or civil liability for providing care to people from states banning these services.

Absentee Student Tracking (H 7289, S 2527)

We urged amendments to this bill which commendably attempts to establish a pilot program in two high schools to try to increase student attendance through the aggressive provision of supportive services.

Unrelated Housemate Limitations (H 7382, S 2635)

Current law allows municipalities to limit the maximum number of unrelated persons who can live together in a dwelling, but of no less than three people. We supported this bill which would increase the limit to five.
