Gubernatorial Candidate Residency Requirement (S 2662)

Noting that questions of gubernatorial candidate residency is an issue best left to the voters, we opposed this legislation which would impose a five-year residency requirement on any individual who seeks to become a candidate for governor or other general offices.

Same-Day Voter Registration (H 7474, S 2779)

We supported this proposed constitutional amendment which would remove the state Constitution’s onerous requirement that bars individuals from voting in an election, except for President, unless they have registered to vote at least 30 days in advance.
