TESTIMONY Re: Proposed Rules Regarding Early Voting Conduct

This testimony submitted to the Rhode Island Board of Elections provides comments and concerns about proposed regulations regarding early voting. Specifically, we advocate the Board to remove language which would extend the current statutory “50-foot electioneering” ban outside polling places on election day to apply to early voting facilities that could significantly adversely impact free speech.
