LETTER Re: Rules and Regulations for Operation of Body-Worn Cameras

This letter was sent to the Attorney General's office from the Access/RI coalition, reiterating concerns about the recent Department of Public Safety amendments to the rules and regulations establishing a statewide policy for the use of body-worn cameras.

Access/RI's members include the ACLU of Rhode Island, the New England First Amendment Coalition, the League of Women Voters of Rhode Island, Common Cause Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Press Association.

ACLU of RI Calls on Attorney General to Release Body Camera Footage of Police Shooting of Pawtucket Resident

In a letter citing a lack of public transparency by the Pawtucket Police Department, the ACLU of Rhode Island today called on Attorney General (AG) Peter Neronha to immediately release all police body worn camera (BWC) footage of the shooting last month of resident Sebastian Yidana.
