Summary

When a student acts up in class, teachers have the authority to send disruptive students to the principal's office, and state law contains standards for the suspension of students. As such, we opposed legislation which would create a confusing, complicated, and unnecessary process for removing unruly students from educational activity. This legislation passed the Senate and died in the House Education committee.
