The ACLU of RI opposed a proposition before the Bristol Town Council which would amend the definition of "adult entertainment" in a way that would undermine First Amendment principles and would be inappropriately aimed at LGBTQ+ individuals.

Testimony submitted to the Rhode Island State Police concerning proposed rules and regulations for the code of conduct for sworn members resulted in an important amendment to the regulations which ensured compliance with body-worn camera regulations and the state's whistleblower protection law.
