LETTER Re: Brown University Data Sharing with Real Time Crime Center

Document Date: January 27, 2026

This letter was sent to Brown University President Christina Paxson, urging her to deny the Providence Police Department's request to add the Brown University campus camera feeds to the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC).

Letters were also sent to other higher education institutions with campus locations in Providence — the Community College of RI, Rhode Island College, RISD, Roger Williams University, and the University of RI — similarly urging them to reject the Providence Police's request for camera feed access.

The letter to CCRI is included below as an example of the letters to the other high education institutions.
