Unrelated Housemate Limitations (H 7382, S 2635)

Current law allows municipalities to limit the maximum number of unrelated persons who can live together in a dwelling, but of no less than three people. We supported this bill which would increase the limit to five.

Ban on “Synthetic Media” in Elections (H 7387A, S 2456)

We urged caution in trying to quickly control the new world of artificial intelligence with this bill that would regulate electoral communications generated by artificial intelligence, and which would allow politicians to seek injunctions against “deceptive” AI-generated communications.

We urged amendment to a bill addressing telematics systems in cars – which track and gather information such as vehicle location and driver behavior – which is then shared with insurance companies, for example, to set car insurance rates.
