We strongly supported this legislation which included a number of updates to our state Homeless Bill of Rights statute.

We strongly supported this bill which would provide long-overdue mechanisms to enforce the state Constitution’s Declaration of Rights, which “guarantees” the State’s residents critically important civil liberties.

In addition to the amendments that this bill would make to the community service requirements to be imposed against individuals convicted of graffiti offenses, we urged that this bill be further used as an opportunity to revisit the extremely harsh prison penalties associated with this offense.

We opposed legislation which would make it a misdemeanor, punishable by up to a year in prison, for a person between the ages of 18 and 21 to engage in electronic casino gaming, or iGaming.

We supported this bill which would make it illegal for employers and public accommodations to discriminate against individuals based on their weight.

We strongly supported this bill which would prohibit the questioning of a juvenile suspected of criminal activity without a parent or legal guardian present.

We strongly supported this legislation which would protect literature with “educational and governmental” value, as well as materials in a “bona fide school, museum, or public library.”

We supported a critical piece of legislation which would largely eliminate the ability for a K-5 student to be given an out-of-school suspension and strengthen the current reporting requirements for school districts.

We supported the repeal of the exemption of domestic workers from the state's minimum wage laws, noting that its impact is sexist, racially discriminatory, and limiting of the economic mobility of domestic workers.
