Limiting Early Voting (H 7669)

Perhaps one of the few positive impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic was the spotlight that it shone on the right to vote and the need for modern, updated, and accessible methods of exercising the franchise. Rhode Island rapidly responded to this need, and in the last few years has made strides in ensuring that the ability to vote in our state is more robust than it has been before. As such, we opposed legislation that would pare back the amount of time that voters currently have to engage in early voting.
