Summary

We supported legislation which would expand employer obligations to create, maintain, and retain their employees' personnel records. This legislation commendably allows employees to obtain copies of their records for their personal perusal, and to inspect them without the necessity of doing so in the direct presence of their employer. We additionally offered two amendments to the legislation which would clarify some of the language used.
