Racial Justice

The authors of the Declaration of Independence outlined a bold vision for America: a nation in which there would be equal justice for all. Today, despite important gains in legal, political, and other spheres, deep-seated racial inequities remain woven into the fabric of our institutions — from education and housing to our criminal legal system.

Students’ Rights

Protecting the rights of students is key because most people’s first major encounter with the government is in the school setting. For students to appreciate the importance of civil liberties, it is critical that their rights be protected in school.

Workers’ Rights

We spend roughly half of our waking hours at work. We are committed to protecting basic rights of employees in the workplace, and has a long history promoting those rights through legislation, litigation and public advocacy.
