Statute of Limitations for Child Abuse Offenses (H 7629)

Though we appreciated the intentions behind this legislation, which would have eliminated the statute of limitations for filing civil suits alleging child sexual abuse, we opposed the bill, noting that the complete abandonment of any statute of limitations establishes a dangerous precedent for the due process rights of civil defendants.
