Expanding FEPA Definition of Employee (H 5927)

We strongly supported a proposed change to the state’s Fair Employment Practices Act which would have expanded the definition of “employee” to cover a wider breadth of working personnel.

We strongly supported a proposed change to the state’s Fair Employment Practices Act which would have expanded the definition of “employee” to cover a wider breadth of working personnel, including a protection for “domestic workers” who are currently exempted within the statute. This bill died in committee.
