The resolution reaffirms Rhode Island’s commitment to the fundamental principles of the Fifth and Sixth Amendments to the Constitution, and sends a signal to our national lawmakers that such policies are unacceptable. A companion resolution was introduced in the Senate, but never heard in committee.
