Summary

Want to take action this year on issues you care about, but don’t know where to start? Join us at our Legislative Advocacy Training!

We understand you may be vigilant about your data privacy. If you would prefer, you can email [email protected] directly to register, or call us at 401-831-7171.

In this free, beginner-friendly training, you’ll learn how to be an effective advocate at the State House and with your state legislators. We’ll explain the legislative process in Rhode Island, talk about some bills that are being heard this session, and leave you equipped to take action.

The event will include a presentation from ACLU of RI staff and a guest legislator, with time for Q&A throughout the training.

Parking may difficult in Newport, so please give yourself enough time to find parking. The event room is located off the Lobby of the Library. From the Parking Lot entrance take the stairs down to the Lobby. From the Spring Street entrance take a left down the hallway by the Friends Book Store.

Please note, we only have about 70 seats available. Registration is required. If we reach our registration capacity, we will open a wait list.
