LETTER: Re: Wilson Street Encampment Action
This is a letter to Providence officials urging them to review and address the “initial actions and constitutionally suspect procedural shortcuts” that it took in an attempt to oust the people living in a homeless encampment on Wilson Street. Specifically, the letter raises major concerns about the lack of due process afforded the people living there, and the police’s unwarranted and unlawful intrusion into the encampment.
