LETTER Re: Providence Noise Ordinance Amendment
This letter was sent to the Providence City Council President Rachel Miller respectfully requesting the President withdraw a proposed ordinance we believe is unconstitutional that would exempt “conduct stemming directly from known, organized, or impromptu acts of striking workers" from the City's noise ordinance. This letter, and proposed ordinance, comes after the Providence Police were issuing inaccurate $500 noise citations to striking union workers at Butler Hospital.
