
REPORT: Still Oversuspended and Underserved: Continued Disparities in Suspension Rates in Rhode Island (March 2023)
This is a report covering the out-of-school suspension rates for students in the Rhode Island public school system. It shows significant numbers of K-5 students are being given out-of-school suspensions, some for subjective reasons like "disrespect," as well as practices adversely affecting Black, multi-racial and Hispanic students, and students with disabilities.
