LETTER Re: Warwick Public Comment

Document Date: August 2, 2023

This letter, sent to the Warwick City Council Members, raises concerns about an incident where a Warwick resident was removed during the public comment period at a City Council Meeting. The ACLU of Rhode Island and the New England First Amendment Coalition call upon the Council to reassure the public that this type of response will not be repeated and that residents will be free to speak at future meetings on matters involving city government without fear of being silenced.
