In supporting a bill which sought to address the barriers that justice-involved individuals often face in finding housing, we urged amendments to better ensure that the goal of the legislation is met, including limiting the scope of criminal records that could be considered by a housing provider and strengthening the civil remedies available to individuals who experience a violation of the law. This legislation died in committee.
