This legislation would require police to complete and electronically submit a domestic violence or sexual assault reporting form when responding to domestic violence incidents. This bill includes "a verbal argument or dispute" as a type of domestic violence requiring submission of a form. We argued that this language radically expands the scope of what constitutes an incident of domestic violence and does not fit within the current definition of "domestic violence."
