At this event, which is co-sponsored with the Newport HIstorical Society and the Governor's 1663 Colonial Charter Commission, panelists will debate what Rhode Island’s founders intended and expected when they wrote the 1663 Charter, and what our nation’s founders intended regarding separation of church and state.
